Direct Management of San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital

For almost 20 years, the health care district in conjunction with the hospital board has hired Brim Health Care to manage the hospital. It is time to use the $250,000 paid to Brim each year and use it to manage the hospital as the original board intended. The board of directors of the hospital, can and should hire administrators that will help get the hospital out of the red. As one of the few remaining non-profit hospitals in the nation, it behooves both boards to determine a new direction.

Choose Change

Why choose me instead of one of my opponents?

1. I come from a strong background of self-reliance and getting the job done. We can do it locally without hiring a management company to help us.

2. Having been the co-contractor for building my own house, I have a basic understanding of the construction arena. It is critical that each and every cost be justified and supervised by the board of directors and not take the word of someone else.

3. I have the ability to look beyond the obvious and dig for underlying reasons and causes when presented with a problem or situation. I can ask the hard questions and work to find the answers that seem to be elusive. A board member must be totally engaged in the workings of the organization it is directing. I can put my energies into making sure the hospital is at the top of its profession.

4. A new voice can sometimes help old voices look at a situation in a new light. Injecting energy and a critical analysis of the inner workings of the health care district will be my contribution.

San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Value

Local health care supported, maintained and directed by local community members--a diminishing vision or a reality in Banning, California?

San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital is one of a few community hospitals that is not a member of a larger organization. Primary health care is available to all community members--most insurances are accepted. Small does not mean lagging behind in top notch health care. Primary health care is the prime target of this hospital.

Its critical importance to the community cannot be overestimated.

Local care--close--can make a difference.

San Gorgonio Memorial Health Care District

Hi!

I'm a candidate for the local health care district which is responsible for San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in Banning, California. The health care district is truly a local group of individuals helping the community be self sufficient. There are no huge medical management corporations telling the health care district what to do. We have complete discretion over what happens with the hospital and its district.

Get involved and vote for change on November 4th.

Thanks.
